This is my Mystery Stole lll. Part 1a. That means that I am halfway through the second part of the 2 charts given to us. Roughly translated, that is a little more than 2/3 of the way through part one. Does that even make sense? If you are among the (not kidding here) 3,000 people around the world knitting it with me, then you know what I mean. How did I get into this!!!!!
So first, I dyed some grey lace weight. Too dark, I tried, but no deal. Then, I tried to knit it on silk lace, but since my silk lace is as a single, I could see that wouldn't be good. Next, I had some other lace weight that I had dyed some time ago in a really pretty plum color. Still too dark for one-eyed- knitting. I even reversed the dang thing somehow and Cathy showed me where! Dang purling! I'll do that every time without thinking.
I'm now knitting some of my undyed sock-yarn, in fingering weight and this yarn seems HUGE! But oh so very nice to knit with. And, it works great with one-eyed-knitting. Try it! No just kidding. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But, yes, this is working out just great.
Then again....This helps. Heh.
Now ya see? I woulda sworn that beer would make lace knitting MORE difficult, not less. Shows how much I know!
Maybe this is why I'm having problems with my Lily shawl. Not enough lubrication.
Yeah, that MUST be it...
Blessings!

I was just wondering today how you were doing with MS3. It looks great!! I'm glad you found a yarn that is working for you and I knew you could do it :)
I should be done with clue 1 tonight just in time for part 2 tomorrow.
Hope to see you soon.

Absolutely STUNNING! I can't wait to see it in person. Looks like you go the "bugs" out.
I have to admit that I will be interested to see what the purple yarn from the previous incarnation morphs into - I thought it was very beautfiul.

Hey, baby, are your legs tired? 'Cuz you were runnin' around in my dreams all night.
No, not really. You made a brief appearance knitting at some plastic picnic table thingy. We were chatting and some guy came up and wanted to talk politics and in my dream I thought, "Man, and we were having such a good time..." but that's all I remember. Weird, eh?
