Well, I was browsing on over at one of my favorite blogs, "The Knitty professor" and she had a cool thing on there.
(Careful, her title for today's post may be a little offensive, since I absolutly NEVER curse. At. All. Ever. IN FACT, I may have to call Miss Professor, and ask her to remove said "bad" words from her blog.)
So, I had to rate my own blog and this is my rating:
This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words:
- hurt (3x)
- punch (1x)
Can you believe that? Boy, my kids would beg to differ with this rating.
One time in Sunday School at church the teacher was talking about "bad" words and asked the kids if any of their parents ever said "bad" words" (this teacher happened to be one of my best friends).
Kid 1 raised her hand, and said "My mom does, all the time!" SS Teacher then said, "really Kid 1, what does your mom say?" snorking and snickering away.
"She says, 'oh my GOSH,' and 'stupid,' and 'idiot' when she's driving"
See now? don't I deserve at least a PG rating?????
To find your rating, click on The Knitty Professor link above. For some reason my link isn't working.
Edited to add: Asking Miss Knitty Professor to change her blog post title was said sarcastically. Oh... and also the statement that I absolutly NEVER curse. At. All. Ever. is kindof untrue. (Grandad in heaven.... you didn't read that.) I know, I've got to work on that mouth of mine.

Ha, I got a PG for "hell (5x)" and "steal (1x)." Apparently flabgina and posts about wandering IUDs and polishing Nick's kanab are all family safe. C'mon over kiddies! Tia Wendy's got some stories fer ya! (okay, okay, PG means parental guidance, but c'mon, really!)
And you're kidding about asking someone to change the ironic title to their blog post, right?

Ah, yeah. That was said totally sarcastically. I've got a mouth like a sailor. You STILL crack me up Wendy

Oh my. I really try my best not to curse (esp. in front of the kids) but when I clicked on the link to Knitty Professor and read her blog post title it made me giggle!

I am so G it hurts -- the ratings thing-a-ma-jig found no bad words on my blog :)
Sorry to hear about the foot! That sounds like no fun, except it means that you're totally justified to sit there with your foot up and knit!

Hey Mary Kay,
I know this isn't on topic of this post but I have to ask you a question before tomorrow night. First of all, are you going to join us at Knit Knack? I know you are supposed to be sitting and not walking but we really don't walk that much there and you could chill out with us right?
Anyway, I wanted to know if I could purchase some of that yarn you were working on at the D-Note that one night. My friend Sharon (she-knits podcast) had her 50th birthday and I want to send her something special. And well, since she is sensitive to wool I thought that yarn would be PERFECT and definitely SPECIAL!
Could you email me and let me know what you think?
Thanks dear!
xoxoxo
