Well, Miss Kaity, YOU are the winner of the Socks That Rock in colorway Pink Granite from last year's "Rockin' Socks Club." Please email me with your address and I'll get it out to you sometime this coming week.
Kaity's comment was this,
"(Pretend I'm talking in a whiny sad voice) I need the Socks that Rock because I'm just a poor ol' college student that can't afford to buy some for herself :(
I've been there. Yes, a poor ol' college student. And, that folks, simple, and to the point, broke my heart, plus, after seeing some of the things that Kaity knits on her blog, I know she'll put it to good use. Not that the rest of you wouldn't - ahhhh, you get my drift! Congratulations Kaity!
I did like this comment though...
I need it because I have sheep but no spinning wheel.
And I have yarn but no knitting friends!!!
And no LYS either!! Am I deprived or what????
Boo hoo!!! ; )
Hope you find/convert some spinning friends soon. I can't even find people that want to knit, I can't even imagine finding spinners around here. - from Rohanknitter
We need to hook up Miss Rohan! I'll trade you some fleece for some sock yarn! Yessindeedy!
And, this one from Wendy
Ha! Cute contest, like "Queen for a Day"--"well, Mr. Bailey, the baby's always sick and my husband was laid off from the factory and the cat ate the dog and then threw up dog parts all over the only thing I have to remember my mother by and the locusts ate all the crops and our systemic overfarming created a gigantic dustbowl effect which blotted out the sun..."
As always, made me laugh.
Now for some spinning. Some lovely, lovely, spinning.
That is 270 yards of 80% Merino, 20% silk, worsted weight. When I am done, I will have about 1,400 yards of worsted wieght yarn for a cardigan I want to knit. The roving was a custom color made for me by Spunkyeclectic- Amy Boogie. Dreamy to spin and it'll be even better to wear. Can't wait!
Stay tuned for a review of a new knit store up in Arvada called Knit Knack. It's a beauty!
And, that's all she wrote!
