RATS are bad. Rats are very bad.
I had a stack of art supplies, my paints and some canvasas, along with my floor covering (protects the floor from paint drippings) stacked in the corner by the front window of my formal living room. Well, the dang things took some paper, shreaded it up, and made a nest in my floor cover. In the other corner of the opposite side of the room where my dining room table is, there are identical sets of windows that are really sliders. There are LONG, to the floor, curtians that mainly stay open. The rats had a little collection of dog food and cat food in a pile over there. Now that explains why I would find random bits of kibble on the floor in the living room. All along I thought Missy was stashing like one of my old dogs used to do. "Hey, a snack for later, I'll just put it in here so no one will know." Whelp, it wasn't missy...
I'm telling you these things are BAD! The one that Kid 1 and I saw was about 6 inches long in body and another 6 in. of tail. SHOOT- IT!!! SHOOT THAT THING!!!!
We bought 4 traps. They are set.
My pantry is now devoid of EVERY bit of food that is not encased in metal. No longer am I am horder of sale items to be made as a side dish at a later time. I WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING BUT A WEEKS WORTH OF FOOD IN THERE.
I will have bad dreams tonight.
I can just tell.
Goodnight.

Woah! Good luck with that!

Hang in there! Just remember, we are bigger than they are, even if they freak us out and they seem to look at us and laugh. We have aposable thumbs with which we can grab heavy items to throw at them. Bait up those traps!

Ewwww vermin! Rats, mice and roaches...they just creep me out in the worst sort of way. I won't eat anything that has been out on the countertop. All of my cereal and bread goes in the freezer! Good luck getting rid of them.
