Well, Things haven't been so great here in La Casa de Tilden.
Shortly after my last post Byron left for Guatamala on some business and some pleasure. He had a GREAT time! He did some cool stuff down there and had a blast and told me that next trip (next year) I SOOOO need to go. I told him NOT ON YOUR LIFE BUDDY. Anyway, that is another story.
The day he left Kid 2 (7) started in with a high fever of 103.8. That fever lasted all stinkin' week. Basically, I took her to the doctor a day later and just on a whim had them test her for a kindey infection. I runs in my family and I've already had kidney surgery myself. I know these symptoms. Turns out she has a FULL blown kidney infection and had that darn fever for 7 days straight. She will go in for ANOTHER ultrasound of her kidneys and bladder and a VCUG. It hurts her like the dickens.
The week after that was a good one! My sister and Brother in law came home from China so I got to hang out with the new baby they brought home. Dang it she's cute! Check out this picture I took....
And, that is what it's all about. This is their Kid 3 for your viewing pleasure. Isn't she darling! She stole my heart and made me want a kid 3 for mysef ---- for about 2 seconds. I love Love LOVE her though!!!
Then I came home to MY KID 1 (9) with a raging fever. (Kid 2 was first). Long story short, my 9 year old has croup. The DR. says this is very abnormal for kids her age. She missed all of last week of school and has no voice, a fever, and a seal cough.
The very WORST thing that happened these last three weeks, happened TODAY!!!!. I thought I'd move things around in my living room and I noticed a little tiny piece of poo on the ground. Things progressed from there as I continued investigating and let's just say that all hell broke loose and I screamed loud and long enough to start all of the dogs in the neighborhood barking. This is serious here guys. I don't do well with visitors unless I personally have INVITED them into my home. I grew up hanging out in the barn with the horses and was used to these things in the barn amongst the hay and grain. They never scared me one bit! But in my HOUSE - --- I think NOT!
Bad, bad folks. I am NOT happy here. So, I've gotten NO knitting, NO spinning, and NO scrapbooking done in these here above discussed three and a half weeks. I've missed several of the cool things that my knitting/spinning group sets up. BUMMER!!! Not doing any of my hobbies puts this Mamascrapalota in a VERY bad mood. Sheesh. Can I run away now?
By the way - how's the housing in Denver Colorado. Prices? What is the BEST area to live in as far as kids and schools are concerned? Just checking. Anyone know?
Ok, if I still have any readers, chime in. If not, that's ok too. This really is my on-line journal. And, thanks for listening to my griping. Really my life is great. I think things just hit all at once and I'm pretty much done with all of that!
Mary-Kay

I miss you MK!
What kind of poop was it? Has your house been overrun by wild baboons?
Do you think you can make it to my house on Wednesday evening for our book club meeting? If you can't find a sitter the girls are totally welcome too!

Ooh, Missy's been slacking off in her doggy pest preventative duties, eh? (Unless it is baboons, Missy will need backup to tackle baboons)
Do you think thng will have settled down by the 30th? Do you guys want to go to the baseball game?

Sorry to hear about all the illnesses :( Hope the girls are feeling better soon.
I used to live in Parker, CO which is just outside of Denver and it was quite nice and very family oriented. That was 10 years ago, and at the time there were only a couple of restaurants in town. It's probably grown now, but I bet it's still a nice place to live. A lot of houses had views of Pike's Peak. We'll chat soon (I hope?)
